Secret Garden Jewellery Box

A much-loved reference point for creative design and inspiration for interiors, tech to fashion and jewellery; it's hard not to pinpoint a designer who hasn't used the beautiful intricacies of nature to inspire a collection of artistry.

Not only are their shapes, patterns, textures and sizes unique and different between creatures, plants, flora and fauna but so are the architectures around where they inhabit across the continent. To say there is a wealth of inspiration in nature would be an understatement!

Beautiful incarnations of the typical biodiversity of a garden are some of the most widely used within jewellery collections. Intricate, colourful and dainty floral designs interlaced with fresh greens and delightful garden insects are in abundance within fine jewellery.

Designs range from delicate designs to the bold and flamboyant, resplendent in all gemstone colours imaginable. Designers use their skills to their advantage by playing and juxtaposing gemstones of different cuts to mimic the wide variety of foliage and rich bouquets found in nature.

This summer we see both fashion and fine jewellery unite with a fairytale version of nature, rich in feminity, personality and playfulness.

With enormous bold faceted gems of rainbow colours to miniature bejewelled animals, we've picked the best of the bunch, eschewing a fusion of colours and design for chic and stunning elegance!

Riding the Cool Blue Wave

There's something about the charm of Summer that makes adding a splash of colour seems like the look du jour, right?

We saw this trend make headlines in 2018 but it seems that turquoise jewellery is back under the spotlight again with a twist and a nod to ocean tones. Rich and decadent, blue combines the fresh beauty of modern vibrancy with the style of antique charm. Reinvented and reprised, this nod to the oceans takes vintage classic shapes and combines it with splashes of gold, silver and diamond accents.

Historically, turquoise blue is believed to be a powerful stone that brings power and protection to its wearer. Due to the plethora of tones and hues that blue has, it has become a year-round colour that compliments spring, summer, autumn and winter wardrobes.

Blue jewellery suits just about any style and personality, providing the perfect pop of colour against yellow gold jewellery for a look reminiscent of a modern heirloom.

When encrusted amongst a range of coloured gemstones within a silver design, a blue hue tends to illuminate and lift the entire face.

Modern, fresh and playful, take a look at some of my favourite blue pieces of the summer! It's like sunshine in a look!
